Yashel playing around with a curious little duck (or such like bird creature) I am slowly (and I am sad to say, VERY slowly) getting the hang on backgrounds and how to place characters in them. Tomorrow I am off to draw some trees and such while walking the cat and having a picnic with some friends.

More like a goal for me to reach. I shared a studio with a guy named Lars Krantz http://vice.typepad.com/vice_magazi.....rs-krantz.html He taught me A LOT, but i have a LOOONG way to go before I see myself as anywhere near "outstanding". He also draw about 6 comic pages a day and can ink 3 of them that same day... He's amazingly skilled and a damn fun guy.
Since you deserve a comment here too.. I shall now post same comment as on DA, just to be annoying XD.
As stated before, I love the cartoonish style you've given yashel. It's quite different from what you usually do, bit I quite like it :D. The background looks amazing, no matter how sloppy you might think it is, it works very well with the style you've given yashel to have those bold lines in the background. Had you been going into too much detail in the inking in the back you might actually have ruined the playful mood you managed to produce. So I say kudos to you! and damn you for your skill! *argh!*
Plus, I like his hand and his inking, It looks very nice and clean and you play with the bold lines very well in it. It is what gives him that sense of play and cartoon that looks so nice <3
