He had heard about an ancient race of Indians who specialized in transformation. When he had discovered one of the artifacts, he had accidentally dropped it into a lake. He had dove on after in but before he could reach it, he was almost out of air. The Necklaces, sensing this, transformed him into an otter to save his life.
