I'm legitimately curious how you get the colors to seep into the outlines. I've been trying to do so myself, but I haven't figured it out.

For any lines that are inside the character, I draw colors on a layer that's clipped over the lineart.
The lineart itself is a dark red-brown color by default.

The rest is probably the post-process layers I add once I am done, which are two low-opacity, blurred versions of the flattened image with Normal and Soft Light layer style, and a final layer with its tone curve pulled all the way down, blurred at near-maximum setting, and set to Screen layer style at 25-50% opacity for a gentle glow effect.

Hmm. I'll need to try this, assuming I understood the whole process. Would be nice to add some sort of flair to my own works since my coloring feels so... blegh, despite the praise on DeviantArt (I only occasionally post on FA. Should get back to that.)
