This is a really interesting idea! The plot itself is kinda dark, but it's an interesting look at how hypnosis could work with things like loneliness and depression. I like the alternate look at one of my favorite aspects of Hypnosis stories, that the subject really does want the things they do to happen. This time, they really do, and it's not a happy ending all the same.

Yeah! Subjects usually want what happens to them in my stories, but in this case, as you pointed out, that's not necessarily a good thing. Thank you very much for reading and for the comment, too!

It's an interesting thing, the idea of a clean slate. I suppose that's partly what is attractive with hypnosis in the first place. Beyond just the thrill of the power dynamic it also touches on the desire to both lose control and forget. Letting go is a theme that is rather ubiquitous when you think about it. It's a bit worrying that I can resonate with the story, but to hear it from someone is rather comforting in a way.

Of course as an actual story it's a very nice exploration into those themes, and you've put into words something that I also associate hypnosis with so- Thank you for the food for thought!
