Name: Joseph "Joe" Wainwright
Codename: Road King (to his subordinates and allies.) Road Hog (everyone else calls him this.)
Gender: Male
Orientation: Unknown
Species: Wild Boar
Age: 35
Personality: Prideful, yet surprisingly caring and charismatic. Road Hog doesn't just think he's the greatest driver on Earth, he knows it as sure as the sun rises. One would think this would make him unbearable to be around, yet if one isn't his enemy he can be amazingly magnetic and inspiring. He pulls people along on his journey and they want to follow him, to see where he'll go. To his loyal fans and followers, he looks out for their well being like they're part of a close-knit team. He knows full well from his racing days a well disciplined crew can be the key to victory, so he finds value in unity.
To someone like his dear friend Doctor Recluse, and his personal right hand Le Mime, they see his soft and caring side. He's gone out of his way for their well being, and shows genuine interest in their own interests. Because of all of this, despite the majority of Sable City and beyond hating his guts for all the damage he's caused, he has one of the most loyal groups around him in the city's criminal underworld.
Abilities: Master Driver, Magical Talent: Baking, Mad Science Inductee, Miming Inductee, Expert Vehicular Engineer, Power Armor Master, Leadership, Brawling & Wrestling Expert, Above-Average Strength, Stamina, and Endurance.
Profile: Joseph Wainwright had racing in his blood, as his great-great-grandfather had been a successful bootlegger during Prohibition. When the trade became defunct after Prohibition ended, the same man was among those who took their skills and created what would become NASCAR. From then on his family were all at one point a participant, and Joseph was to be no exception. Showing immense promise in his time, he amassed great fame and a large following for his heel-like behavior and magnetic personality. However, despite his nigh-supernatural skill as a driver, fate had other plans.
To this day he has no idea of how it happened, as his pit crew was top notch. His vehicle suffered a critical fault and spun out of control at the key moment he needed to secure his victory in the most important race of his career. His hated rival was the one to claim the checkered flag to rub salt into the wound, and in a fit of rage he punched the man off the podium before crushing the trophy underfoot. This unsportsmanlike behavior got him banned from NASCAR for several years, and when he turned to his family for support they coldly abandoned him as a "worthless failure who shamed us all."
Furious, he spent a year drifting about in unofficial races to make ends meet, until one day he was approached by a rather shady individual. If he would do a quick bit of driving to get something from Point A to Point B, no questions asked, he would be well paid. Joseph hardly cared, still sour and in want of extra cash, gladly did so. The thrill of the work gave him a new sense of life, and he began to drift away from his racing career and more towards being a courier and then a getaway driver operating under the pseudonym, "Road King." Taking part in a genuine bank heist and making a stolen armored car drive as if it were his old race car sealed the deal for him.
He gathered together a band of his most loyal fans of old and picked up the wayward minor supervillain Le Mime, who he knew of old from a prior job, and they began raising havoc for hire all up and down the country until they settled in Sable City. There he was hired by then also recently arrived Doctor Recluse for the sake of testing a new weapon for him. The two spent time speaking of vehicles, engineering, and their respective passions, hitting it off well. In the present day, Road King now has exclusive VIP access to the Mad Scientist's laboratories, first dibs on his gear, and is helping him expand his life in general. The two are an infamous duo to the point where one can expect the other to be nearby if they're out and about. Road King is one of the most reviled criminals in Sable City for all the property damage he's caused and injuries he's caused, but as far as he's concerned his life has never been better.
Weaknesses: Road Hog's greed can be his downfall, as well as his pride. He desires wealth to upkeep his beloved Marauder and pay his crew first, and keep himself living in luxury second. If his driving prowess his sufficiently insulted, he will fly into a blind rage that requires his allies to calm him down. Especially if he is called, "Road Hog" to his face. His loyalty can also be his downfall, especially towards Doctor Recluse. He will do all he can to protect them from major harm, even at the cost of own life. On top of all this, he is purely mortal. While having Doctor Recluse as a dear friend means he is in excellent health, he can still be defeated by mundane means.
