In my universe I gave Mufasa and Scar two extra siblings, Akilah and Jali. The connections between these four throughout their lives is incredibly complicated and way too detailed to yap about now. I'll have a drawing of the extra sibs as adults with more info on their personalities up soon.

Nope, the books that called him Taka were not made by Disney. The closest thing we get to a canon hint to his old name is one of the creators of the lion guard mentioning they thought of calling Scar Askari after the supposed first lion guard
