A ruthless scavenger who constantly roams the wasteland in search of food, this hound owes its namesake to the spikes of bone protruding from its back and the ragged flesh-colored tail that billows out behind it - making it appear like a living corpse.

These dogs are also known to get bone fragments tangled up in their long stringy tails, though most seem to pay no mind. In fact, there have been a few confirmed incidents where a Carrion Hound will intentionally tangle their tail in bones. For intimidation purposes or to attract potential mates, perhaps?
