So over the past months? now? I have been working with Dilrax to revive the RenTek mod series for Starbound.

As of such, I am but a lowly intern of the RenTek Corporation lol.

Far left: HEY THAT'S ME!
Well in a little bit of a different attire, being in a weapons manufacturing and dealing corporation would of course require me to wear at least something. Pull down visor to shield my eyes from welding or sparks; attachments to my heat vents to try to reduce the flames with a somewhat heat sink design. Typical arm pieces a few RenTek personal wear that not only holds identification data but functions as a multi tool. Outfit with plating, to protect from... accidents related to the tasks. Although it doesn't seem I am too happy to have my Boss YOINKING MA POCKY!!

Middle Left: Reni the Arms Dealer
The head and mascot of the RenTek Corporation, also one of the only few Avali fan characters that not only has Official art in the wiki, but also a mention towards the RenTek mod series in the image description of "arms dealer". Reni belongs to Dilrax and as a character predates a majority of avali lore. Reni not only has impossible natural colors, but also is a bit of a paradox being that Reni is not associated with any Avali factions but the corporation he owns. A lone avali that has adopted other species into his "pack" and has endured genetic modifications to survive different environments rather than having their body augmented with tech implants. How was such genetic engineering done? You'd have to ask Dilrax since the two have known each other for many many years. Reni would think it is a waste to have such snacks just out in the open and not being aggressively consumed.

Middle Right: MEIGA ("Modular Informative Exploration Groundwork Assistant") or "Sleeps"
MIEGA is a new addition to the RenTek Corporation around the "Delta" phase. As the name may suggest MIEGA is an AI, being that of a cybernetic? digital? well MIEGA can go from an AI on your ship seeming projected from their tiny fox body to a full humanoid anthro when needed for groundwork. More information about her will come with time when the mod gets near to completion, although you will expect to be dealing with MIEGA a lot. MIEGA being an AI is really informative, although that doesn't mean she hasn't developed emotions and a personality. Seeing as such as she is ultimately shocked at Reni's sudden jump onto the table.

Far Right: Dilrax Stormpaw
RenTek's second in command (owner of Reni and MIEGA as characters) Twitter: @RenTekDilrax, is an electricity infused anthro from a race called "The Dire". Suggested Dilrax is a type of anthro dire wolf although through series of genetic engineering and manipulation, has been imbued with elemental electric powers. Reni and Dilrax go a far ways back and would be Reni's first packmate to his new "pack" after the death of his old pack many years ago. Although if you want more info about Dilrax, it'd be better you ask him. Although he seems awful confused at the situation he is witnessing.

This artwork started really as a joke surrounding Reni as a character and then ended up being a group portrait of the RenTek crew we have as of now. Many things were tossed back and forth about design. As Reni only has official art in the bounds of a headshot bust. The rest of Reni's body could be determined but as for the rest of the chest armor, referring to avali tech and design processes happened. After a while, we landed on a "well we can't think of anything else" after a few iterations of the chest armor and went with this design. It borrows from a lot of  RyuujinZero's (avali creator and you can see the art of Reni they did in their gallery) concept artwork for the avali tech and keeps the same look Ryu gave Reni all those years back, so hopefully it matches up with assumptions on appearance.

It was a fun piece to work on, although now since it is done, time to go back to the grind to help Dilrax get RenTek back into the public.
