Dungeon Small - #1
Or, as a clever title: Winning by Technicality (Part 1 of 8,000)
Or, as what it really is: Introducing my Very Informal Webcomic Project: Dungeon Small.
A look of triumph when you've proven you were (technically) correct.
I've been debating the length to which I want to talk about this. I've debated whether or not to just post it or whether it would be a good use of time to talk about what this is and what my journey has been. I know I've historically had a problem with going over the length to which people are able to hold their attention for a stranger about problems that aren't theirs. I think what I decided on is that I will walk about this because I truly do want to. But I'm gonna try and keep it simple!
Anyways this is the start of my very informal comic series Dungeon Small.
The series stars chinchilla and dungeon-crawling-idiot Lemmy Tart (they/them) and their equally stupid chimera companion Meatbun (he/they). They love to dungeon crawl, an actual profession in their world that consists of navigating, surviving, and conquering complex dangerous labyrinths known as Dungeons. Often to pursue loot, magical items, your typical rpg rewards. Not that these two are professionals, or even particularly good at it. They just love doing it. Miraculously not-dying despite who they are and what they do. Thankfully, with a cast of much more competent and observant friends their various misadventures are allowed to continue. The series is fantasy/adventure/comedy (with periodic horror and romance).
The series is very informal. I update it when I update it. Will be done with the effort level I can manage (but usually in this somewhat sketchy style). Usually in episodic, cute, funny little blips like this for awhile. Each can be enjoyed as their own thing. But we'll also get to see more lore, actual stakes, and a very interesting over-arching plot that we'll be slowly moving to. Considering dungeons can actually be very, very fatal and dangerous and the situations they'll be in won't match the atmosphere these two might evoke otherwise.
Dungeon Small is a series where I learn along the way. I have almost 0 experiences with comics, so I'll learn it as I do it, fuck up a lot before I get it right or get good at it. I've more than made peace with that. Sssort of like Lemmy and Meatbun here. Loooong time followers of mine will know I've actually tried to launch Dungeon Small before but didn't have the mental stability, time, resources or skillset to do so. I've learned a lot since then, most importantly my mental state has greatly improved. But of course should this eventually become inactive (worst case scenario), I've structured it so you can also choose to enjoy what I do make. :)
