That's a hard one to get lol. The only time their mouths are open would be when they're yawning (which would be hard to catch on camera by chance) or when they're doing their post-mouse-eating mouth adjustment...and even then, it isn't every time haha. I will try though :D
Iv gots a question.. what are you feeding her? I only ask because at my work we have been having trouble getting the new sand boa to eat (its been 3 months and he is vet checked healthy but still not eating). I'm usually the one to feed the snakes and I can get almost any snake to eat but not this guy :( Maybe you have some tips on feeding them that you could share? :) Iv tried many things!
Oh my gosh. Hannah had a HORRIBLE eating record. I actually didn't get her to eat until 6 MONTH after I purchased her. Same thing as you - she wasn't skinny, she shed twice just fine, she just wouldn't eat.
I tried every trick in the book before I got her to eat. When she finally did, it was when her head was sticking out of her substrate towards the evening (around 4-5 o'clock is when they seem to be most active). I dangled it over her head, and she got that look. After about 10 minutes of bopping her with it and moving it around, she finally stuck. I have just fed her frozen/thawed pinkie mice, but I'm sure working with live pinkies would be easier.
I wish you luck.........the hatchlings are a pain. D:

its almost good to know that I'm having the same problems XD and that we arn't starving this poor snake... (well not purposefully) hmmm maybe when I put them in the back to eat I will watch for his head popping out of the sand... thanks for the help! It makes me feel a lot better that other SB's are the same. Ahhhh stupid hatchlings! unlike mr. king snake who decided to eat 2 whole pinkies when we got him in from shipment the little pig!!!
