This is my second assignment for this semester! I forget the rules, but it was something along the lines of:
"Write a piece for orchestra (2/1/2/1, 2/1/1/0, T/2, Harp, Strings) that consists of only 4 pitch classes and has a focus on timbre and texture."
This is my result, which was very well received, apparently, according to my comp teachers, I have a good grasp of how to write for orchestra already! Huzzah!!!
Anyway, enjoy!!!
Oh and the funny numbers above mean how many of each instrument in the orchestra I'd have, so it means:
2 Flutes 1 Oboe 2 Clarinets 1 Bassoon
2 Horns 1 Trumpet 1 Trombone 0 Tubas
1 Timpani 2 Percussionists 1 Harp
A string section (Violin I, Violin II, Violas, Cellos, Double Bass')
