Here she is! My third OC is now finished! And her name is Hvölga, the worcalock!
I have always adored cetaceans - orcas in particular - ever since I joined this community. People make freaking fantastic dragon artwork, but in my opinion cetacean artwork is a close second in terms of beauty, majesty, and power!!Also they wear blubber incredibly well so of course I had to get a blubbery one hahhh!
Anyways, about Hvölga! [Simply pronounced as Vul-Ga]
As you can see on the ref sheet itself, she was 'adopted' by an evil and powerful kraken that granted her magical powers not unlike how a warlock gets their powers! And if this wasn't already enough D&D inspiration, she also has a suspiciously shaped 'nametag' that the Kraken put on her that may nod to the game! But it's actually a mysterious artifact I promise!!
Also apologies if you find the name confusing but the Kraken named her that, and it has no care for what our human tongues find easy to pronounce. It also changed her coloration from a normal orca to what you see here! Aaaaand it also probably contributed to her blubber level due to excessive feeding and pampering.
And despite serving this evil Kraken, she isn't necessarily evil. Just like warlocks in D&D, serving an evil patron doesn't mean you're an evil person, even if you will have to follow evil commands as part of the deal every now and then. So yeah, probably not the kindest orca in the seas, but that's just because she's a bit selfish and opportunistic. She's not a threat unless the kraken tells her to be, and as such it's not too hard to make her acquaintance! Just make it worth her while. And in return she'll make sure you don't have to worry about that abyssal monster she serves!
(If any of you find something confusing about this description, or it leaves any questions unanswered, please do ask via comment or DM! I'm always looking for ways to improve or clarify, and would be happy to give more details on this new character!)

Captein ! And let me tell you, this artist is fantastic. She knows ALL about cetaceans. I learned a TON about them just via the commission process! And she helped me a lot with the design! Super friendly and helpful person! And not only that, her prices are surprisingly affordable too, so I would absolutely recommend her if you have any cetacean characters. And heck, she's even interested in drawing dragons, so even throw a dragon at her for commissions and see what happens. I'm confident you won't be disappointed!!

Probably very similar things you would use a guard dog for yourself. Except you gave this guard dog the ability to speak and shoot lasers!!
Basically, keeping watch around the seas that it claims, acting as a lookout, fighting off intruders if necessary, delivering messages or otherwise being an emissary, and of course companionship! But to a kraken, companionship isn't quite the loving and nuzzling that we are used to. It's more the unconditional praise and worship that it loves. Honestly it would probably keep her around for that part alone.

Thanks!! I'm glad you find her interesting!
As for the kraken, it's definitely not getting a ref or anything as it's not particularly different from the image you'd find in a D&D book, but it is a very old, ancient being that has maintained power over its ocean territory for hundreds of years. It is constantly plotting to increase its power, wealth, and resources, gain control over more followers (willing or unwilling), and sabotage whoever or whatever it perceives is a threat. It has likely had 'pets' like Hvölga before, but it has always outlived them, and simply finds another one to replace them.

She's definitely a gorgeous orca I've meet at her performance! Also, Hvölga has beautiful eyes and a wonderful smile. It is so wonderful that she put up a outstanding show at the theatrics, I would watch every performance of her. I can tell she has a good kind heart, and a strong will she wish to do. ^.-.^
