you know what's missing, besides not having a track on the office/bay window/front side of it, is the train order signal on the roof above it.
well i don't know if niles had one there but we had one mounted that way in colfax.
(the last time i was up there, the one in colfax hadn't been moved, or done anything obvious with, other then painted a gray which it never wore in service, i don't know who or why did that, and locked up and otherwise pretty much abandond, although the town of colfax did plant a little bit of a lawn/park around near it)
that reminds me, i ought to post one of my pictures of my dad working inside the one at colfax or the office at norden.

Looking at photos of the depot it lost it's signal sometime before before 1948.
Passenger service ended less than a year before the US entered WWII and from that point is was freight agency only.
By the late 40's the main was no longer right along the depot, but instead it was now part of a siding and didn't see a passing train along it's platform other than specials, crew stops or detours.
