Hornet POV

That shell… Yea, that was belonging to her, but it’s… shattered into two pieces.
Where is her? Is she gone? Or-
“…Aah!”
Petal screamed in horror, and I noticed that she saw the broken shell too.
“T-that…!”
She walked out from the cover wriggly, and kneed down behind the broken shell…

“W-what… I…” She starts to sob and shake her head.
“I don’t believe it! I’m not going to believe it…! Mom is very strong! How…”
She starts crying.
Her cries are making me nervous now… I… I never deal with children before… What to do now?
...What she would be wanting now? Wants her mother back?
I looked at the shell.
…I gulped, not likely I can do anything for them… The shell is shattered, very badly, there’s no way I can mend such a big crack…
“A-auntie Hornet! Where did my mom go?”
“I…” I startled as she asked, not very sure how can I reply to her without hurting her even more… “I have no idea…”
She’s crying even harder now…
