Gwen hid behind the wall at the ready, poised for any action he would encounter. This time, it was not a bounty he was after. Here in the abandoned part of the city, Old Town Kallenburg, his wife's murderer was striking a deal with a drug lord named Reinhardt. While Katherine's murderer was not on his bounty list, the drug lord was. And he was worth a lot of money... dead or alive.
Gwen usually caught his victims and delivered them alive. His wife disliked it when things turned so far south that death was necessary. But Gwen was not here to capture anyone. These two birds were going to be killed with one stone. Or in this case, a .45 caliber handgun.
He took another drag of his cigarette. His wife had also disliked smoking. But Gwen couldn't help it. They helped with the stress he was in. His wife had died only three weeks ago. He was filled with rage and sadness over the loss of her. She had helped him quit when they had first met several years ago and now he had fallen back into them. He had fallen back into a lot of things.
"Fuck..." he whispered to himself. In his mind, he realized he was basically heading full force into deeper misery. But he could not help it. Perhaps he should get help. Speak to someone.
No... not right now, at least. Alexander, Katherine's murderer, came out of his sports car to meet with Reinhardt. Reinhardt had four men with him. And Gwen did not care about whatever they were about to discuss.
He came out from his hiding spot, and began opening fire on all six men...
He had ten rounds in his magazine when he revealed himself. He left with none. Reinhardt and his men died quickly with one shot to each of their brains. It happened so fast, none of them managed to even fire back any of their weapons.
Gwen shot the other five at Alexander. Gwen had shot him in the abdominal area, both brachial arteries, and finally both femoral arteries. Alexander was still screaming in agony as Gwen began to leave. The screams turned into groans. The groans turned into sighs. The sighs turned into deep breathing...
Then the breathing stopped...
Gwen knew that he would probably not feel any better after Alexander had died. He was right. In his mind, however, there was no turning back. Gwen had become someone else. He was a stranger to himself now...
Hope you guys liked that short story! Wanted to draw Gwen due to being awake so early before work.
Gwen is a badgernuki, which is a closed species of
Zoelle No One. I have access to them due to being their friend. As such, Gwen does belong to me.
