kialatiagra came up to me and asked me to design a Covenant counterpart to the prototype suit from Halo:Legends
This is the result.
All those Halo fans out there will hopefully enjoy. All non-Halo fans are welcome to as well, but it's not like anyone's forcing you ;3

I loved the games and the books I've read (with the exception of Flood), but I'm severely disappointed by what they did to the franchise with Legends...we'll see if Reach turns out to be any better
Thanks though, I'm glad you can enjoy the design, even without being a fan :3

This is not a problem, you wouldn't be the first one (I did not see that anyway but if you feel like it...): do you know Géricault had this problem also? Look at his most reknown painting, "Le Radeau de la Méduse" : you will notice most feet are either hidden by something or in the water!!!! XD XD
Yeah books and halo legends showed we were alot more advanced than what game depicted and was not totally one sided. Showed marines and ODST were bad ass as spartans. At least halo Reach shows us a bit more hi-techer than orignal halo games. ^^ Personally though i Like ODST marines over Spartans anydays.
*taps chin* very nice. Very nice indeed. No hidden weapons though. That could be a set-back. If someone is skilled enough with the right type of weapon, those two mounted bastards are going bye bye.
Dont mind me. I see something liek this and I think 'how can it be beaten' and thus my mind goes on its trip through lala land. Very nice concept though.

It's fun. Nothing like the sidescrollers such as super metroid but fun nonetheless. I'm looking forward to other M..
anyway, back to the subject. I was thinking that this would be simply amazing to have in a halo game. That would be a pain in the ass to fight.. especially in legendary.

this is great and all but I hate to bring one thing to your attention. Sangheili don't Hide their faces. Its seen as dishonorable. In the book when a spartan tackled one he shouted Demon because he had his face hidden.
So its a good idea but I really doubt that the Sangheili would wear something like this. Brutes more likely. they enjoy toys. they wouldn't make it for the grunts or Jackals. the Sangheili would wear it but without the enclosed helmet.
But Nice Concept. and sorry to ruin it by being a halo nerd lol

Sure. Sangheili wouldn't use that armor. at least none with honor. and Honor is everything to Sangheili. Those would be multiplayer skins. so ya. They also have the samurai skin for Spartans which is completely stupid in battle but looks cool. Like I said Nice Idea. Doubtful execution. unless it was an arbiter outfit even then.
Alright, you forced my hand. I didn't want to bring this picture out, because it's from a time luckily long past, but since you don't want to accept what I offer you I will just have to do this
Now please explain to me how any Snagheili will operate in hard vacuum without covering up their face and I will call this discussion over...and no, I will not accept as an answer that Sangheili will simply not fight in hard vacuum >.>

okay so your assault suit is a space assault suit. And P.S. The glass covering their eyes would still allow for part of their face to be seen. Unlike your assault suit which is a pressure sealed Fully interactive Helmet. Like I said before great idea. Now I COULD nit pick about the size of the entire thing. If its the size of a Sangheili then wow no mobility. If its bigger then a sangheili like the prototype how does that work with their legs and the way they stand. do the feet go to the knees or extend past it? how about their arms where to they go to? all the way down to the hand? How about the mini plasma gun. why does it need a spin up? its not cycling through rounds its releasing plasma shots. And those booster packs aren't nearly big enough to get that thing and swift lift. AS fort the stealth. WHY its not a stealth machine its an assault machine its big and scary and meant to do as much psychological damage as physical. to hide it would be pointless. Not to mention the power it would take up that could be used on shields. I'd be like cloaking a Hunter. Good Idea except the fact that they are loud as fuck and half purpose of a hunter pack is for people to go OH SHIT hunters. Not "hey do you head that loud clunking clashing of metal sound"
So Ya. I was being nice. Good Concept. Doubtful execution

I was goin on about the same thing, only with a lil more looking at where the limbs and head are concerned. The head in this is a little small for an Elite, and their hands are a fair bit bigger, so unless they've lost a hand, I dont thinkthat prosthetic would work. Neither would the legs.
Okay. You took one zealot's opinion and applied it to the entire race. Not to mention an opinion directed at an already unclean human spartan. and if Demon had been applied to someone wearing a helmet that hid their face, wouldn't ODSTs be demons, too? You really must not have been paying attention in Halo 2 or 3, because clearly the stigma of a fully enclosed helmet is not universal. Rangers had fully enclosed helmets, and you could not see their face at all. In halo 3, 50% of the elites were wearing assault harnesses, which had fully enclosed helmets. You find them on elites living and dead through out the level Floodgate, and their are many dead elites in High Charity with these helmets. Hell, even one of the player characters in Halo 3 was a major in full assault armor. The games in which these armor types were introduced came out before the book, so don't try to use that as an argument. The multilayer armor is even considered as canon. It was on author's character's opinion. Not a species wide stigma. If it was, the armor would feature a depolarized transparent face plate, not armor plates.
hmmmm I dunno about the legs and the head. Sangheilli warriors are supposed to have longer necks and BFfeet, like... size 32 hoofs and where they are supposed to be on here, they're too short, so unless this is a prosthetics-modified Elite, I wouldn't think this to be believable in the series
I'm a little late to the game here, but this really is a design I wish would show up in halo. For all their advancements, The Covenant tech is getting pretty dated. 7 games now, and you barely see any advancement. Hardly any tech has been changed or added, and then some of the best gets pulled.
I totally want to be the elite pilot for that though.
