Samurai don't always have to be clad in black, in fact, the truth is often far from it, but it always helps to be just a bit imposing.
So of course, one of the things most exciting about making a Samurai is getting them all drawn up in their armor. This wonderful rendition by Conqista shows Takahira in a light version of his battefield kit, and most importantly, shows off just how flashy and unique the armor can be. While the exact scheme is likely not 100% accurate to history, the overall impression wouldn't be far off, with colors being used liberally both as signs of status and symbolic representations. I'm very happy with the result, particularly the detail that went into his daishō and menpō, which really help breathe even more unique character into the piece.
