So this is my first attempt at starting a comic based around Kayche.
He's too interesting of a character for me not to, I suppose. Kinda putting
my feelers out there as to how popular something like this might even be?
*scruffles head feathers*
So um, let me know what you all think?
Cheers~

Not enough people go outside the plain black lines and white paper for comics. Changing just a few things can lead to a completely different mood. I mean, look at the layout here: http://pd.milkinthepantry.com/comics/080716.jpg
You know how to work the medium.

Ohmigosh dear, this looks absolutely amazing! Even aside from the vintage sepia look, the whole set-up that you are utilizing with the panel placement and such just so works! And that sepia parchment effect just enhances it even that much more. The story also seems as if it has real good potential, so I for one would definitely advice you to continue with this. I think it can be really popular!
Hee hee! Well, even if you've never been a comic reader yourself, you certainly do seem to have a feel for what works, so that is definitely good! In fact, knowing too much about comics could even be a burden, because then you might start to doubt whether you are doing it right, instead of going wih what feels right, and therefore, looks right!
You could of course always put out a few more test pages, to test the waters, so to speak, but I think you are definitely on the right track here! The only thing that I might possibly advice you to do is make use of text balloons for dialogue, or at least put a small 'line' on the text boxes to indicate which one is spoken by which character for easier reading, but what I saw in this page certainly looks very natural and easy to read already

Definitely! It's very fun and in a lot of cases very interesting to see how some artists develop their skills over the years as their comic progresses!
*giggles*
So much so, even, that a good bunch of artists get the fright of their life when they look at their veru first comic pages after a couple of years...

I like how this looks and the feel of the story itself the colored paper style for the pack ground makes it look aged which is good for the style that you have the characters drawn in. and it flows rather well too. i look forward to seeing more.
on another note...
*drools* seeeexxxyyy kayche *blushes and clears her throat as she composes herself* excuse me. i must appologize for getting carried away there. *she says as she eyes him again. trying to keep her composure*

*hands a saucer* My dear child, put that cup on a proper holding plate while you sit. T'wouldn't be proper for a lady to hold her teacup in her paw!*
*sips tea* So did I tell you, my dear, that I hired a butler yesterday? Smashing fellow by the name of Schindler. He's a siberian Saber Tooth!
