A little info, for those who don't know:
In a mosque, this structure is for Fridays when the Imam (very basically the Islam equivalent of a Priest) goes to talk to the worshipers about Allah and stuff like that. The disc above it has the Arabic word for "Allah" written on it.
This picture was taken in the St. Sophia structure, which is now a museum, but used to be a mosque before Ataturk decided to make it a museum because the Blue Mosque is literally right across the street from here.
The artistic value of this picture largely stems from how well this structure is aligned with the disc and from the sheer size of it.
