Exploring ancient ruins is a great archaeological past time, especially when it gets you away from overbearing family who insist on the whole rich-old-money tripe that's predictably as boring as all get out. That's what led Mandy into the field, a mixture of her love for science and her enjoyment of cinematic heroes such as Lara Croft and Indiana Jones. Of course, when your adventures take you to a distant not-Incan ruin and you find a giant snake, well.

Luckily for her, Amaru is simply very old and very lazy. An immortal (not a god, he would insist) guardian snake for a long lost civilisation, he was known as the Dragon Eater, being of such immense size and strength he could crush elders into submission with his coils and swallow them whole. These days he just spends his time sleeping in his ruins until, well, he's had a visitor for the first time in a very long time.
