In the last episode of the series, the Animorphs, the group of resistance against the Yeerk invasion, loose the Andalite cube, the tecnology for giving other people the morphing power.
Here there is Jake (the leader) in his tiger-form and Cassie in her wolf-form. Here she save the life of Jake's brother, that was controlled by the Yeerk and he's escaping with the cube.
Killing his brother, can be was a terrible option for Jake.
This killing could destroy his soule forever.
Cassie did this for love, leaving at the Yeerk a powerful weapon, in all the series there is a not-declared love between them.
Now this feeling will end, because of the war.

Um.. yeh i remember it, but if i'm correct after that the love thematics are not very shown or evolved in that way, and the war destroyed them.
And that's a bit sad even if coherent with their young age..
I only hope that our translation didn't censored other kiss scenes ... in my country they didn't translate the last two books for censorship...

Jake/Cassie in 26 and Rachel/Tobias in 27 are the only obvious ones... Although there may have been a few more...
Everyone in the States is sure that there was a kiss earlier... Jake/Cassie in 11, but it was probably not written in...
As for explicit hugging... Rachel/Cassie in 12 is the ultimate... Especially when Cassie morphs into Rachel.
