Naruto was my favorite series for a while, but the yearlong filler arc, coupled with a lot of the stupider developments, killed it for me. Lately I've been enjoying it more (especially as my favorite character Kisame's been getting more screentime), but it's still nowhere near as dear to me as it once was.

I'm mainly a One Piece man when it comes to manga these days.

Naruto got good again, but in all honesty, after the Itachi vs Sasuke, I lost the oomph to keep reading. :P,
Pain vs Naruto was an epic battle, but yeah.

I am more into bleach cause I like epic fights. Sure the story is going downhill, but I can overlook that for Gin. (my fav)

I never liked the original series. It made me hate the shit out of the show... so annoying. God. :[

But if you watch Naruto Shippuuden, it'll be loads better. Everybody's older, so they're not quite as annoying *coughNARUTOcough*, there's better artwork and animation jobs, everybody's characters are better developed, and there's a better storyline, and new characters to follow (plus, some people just got HOT after growing up haha). :)

Read the manga, look at Hinata, For the Love of God! She's the reason I love the manga more then the anime. Anyone else here saw that? I am really hoping those two hook up.

Is it true that the Japanese version is way more serious then the American?

Usually things are censored when they come to America. The dubbed versions of so many animes had scenes deleted, obvious censoring images stamped on screen. etc.

I fucking HATE censorors, it makes me soooo fucking mad!

But there's more censoring in the transition from manga to anime.
In Naruto, the manga depicts Zabuza decapatating a mafia leader near the first few books. In the anime, it was switched to an upper cut off a bridge.

Don't forget how badly the German dub was censored. They took out Zabuza's sword, so he's swinging around a hilt.

You think that is bad. Just be Glad Four Kids didn't get their hands on it. It would have been worse, and look at One Peice or Sonic X.

They should just not cencor it at all, it doesn't work and only hurts the anime genra in general and the fact is that I don't mind the cencoring from Manga to Anime, it's minor compiared to the big stuff when it hits overseas.

Yah, some censoring i understand, but they take it way tooo far.
