Normally Subete leaves the food chain in the natural order, besides the occasional criminal who crosses his path and wind up much lower on the food chain. But this lone wolf was rather persistent, and too smart for its own good. Subete tried to loose him and lead him down false trails. But no matter what this wolf found its way back to him. Finally having enough of it, Subete set a trap. he set a false trail and waited part way down it. Once the wolf was coming past, Subete dashed under him, giving him a small scratch, and lead him on a chase. Subete has a slight lead with the surprise dash, but the wolf was after him.

The wolf barely felt the scratch as the Fox dashed out of the brush, But it did catch him off guard. after a moment's confused hesitation he took off after the fox. Dashing through the forest, he tailed his prey. Slowly gaining....then only matching....then loosing distance... The wolf's footing felt off, but he focused on his prey, sprinting forward with everything, matching the foxes speed again, and gaining again, the fox must be getting tired. He wouldn't loose his prey, he could outlast it, it would make a mistake, and his meal for the day would be set. Then the fox stopped. Now was his chance, he focused on his breathing, blocking all thoughts out but prey, he continued his sprint and jumped...at the, what he just now realized, very large looking fox.

As the chase went on, Subete could hear he was loosing the wolf, and with a quick glance back, he confirmed his magic took, the wolf was shrinking, quite quickly too. With a smirk he slowed down his speed letting the wolf slowly gain on him again. He was surprised the wolf hasn't noticed yet, but the predator seemed to have a very efficient, yet an extremely one track mind. When the wolf was somewhere between the size of a small house cat and a large rat, Subete stopped. And just like he predicted the wolf kept going, and the wolf leapt . Subete was able to catch the moment, mid leap, that the wolf realized something was wrong. Subete side stepped the wolf, and slammed him paw down on him where the wolf landed. pinning him to the ground. Normally Subete would just use a bit more magic to trap the wolf for awhile, enough to make an escape, leaving the wolf to either revert, or be found by another predator. But this wolf was persistent, if he escaped, he would likely track him down again.... And the wolf had tracked him for half a day, leaving Subete no time to hunt for himself. Subete shifted his paw and deftly picked up the struggling, now rat sized, wolf by his tail. He licked his chops, and gave the wolf a quick taste... Turnabout is fair play after all.

lol went a little more in depth with that story than planned, it was going to be just a couple sentences for fun context, but it just kept going. and yes, though i left it hanging that wolf is 100% fox food now :P
