We chose a relatively new anime to cosplay as this time, should be interesting to see if anyone is familiar with this one XD
I felt that the characters that Vivy and Crystal are dressed as are awesome enough to have their full costumes on...as for the one I'm cosplayed as...that might as well be the authentic cosplay with what she usually wears <,<
People at the convention loved Vivy's costume and the fact that the head could attach and move around, but they felt the button clicking made it feel less realistic XP

Though I have to admit, when I tried watching DRRR with subtitles, I did feel that cue cards were being read by bored people. but then again, it's only the first episode before I got sick of pause-read-talk-pause-read-talk-pause-read-talk... Pausing just to be able to understand what's happening kinda kills the voice work. So I'm buggered either way.
But, examples of decent dubs I've seen include Cowboy Bebop, Mahoromatic, and Record of Lodoss War. Just as suggestions to try listening to.

On an unrelated note...
Is this some sort of lampshade hanging? Vivi as Celty, Crystal as Shinra, and GB calling them lovebirds (based on the canonical shipping), and previous comments about Crystal acting almost like she's more than a friend given the glomps and hugs and such...
