Crowy's hatchday was slowly aproaching yet Kyo couldn't come up with any good idea, everything he thought about seemed bad or useless. He kept digging, trying to find a better idea and finally, he found one, the perfect one.
When the day came Crowy was overjoyed as usual, enjoying the little party Kyo had made for him. After eating the cake and opening all his other gifts Kyo took him to a more private place, away from the crowd.
"Are you ready to get your present my love?" he whispered, holding the small green dragon in his arms. Crowy vigorously nodded, stars glinting in his cute eyes as Kyo gently let him down on the floor. "Then close your eyes." added Kyo with a wide mischevious grin.
Crowy obliged, waiting patiently, his mind going crazy trying to figure out what Kyo had to offer, his heart beating hard in his chest in anticipation.
"There, you can open yoru eyes now my lov." let out Kyo after a while.
When Crowy opened his eyes he discovered his big mate sitting in front of him, looking down on him with a proud grin, love and care blazing in his blue eyes; and, between his legs stood a sizeable green box that, funilly enough was the same color as his scales.
"Oh... that's... for me?" mumbled Crowy, his lower jaw dropping in disbelief, his eyes glued to the present.
"Of course my lovely apple dragon, who else could it be for?" chuckled Kyo, patting the box.
Crowy seemed both excited and hesitant, aching to come closer however he stayed there, doubtful, suspicious.
"Come on, don't be shy, it won't bite, I promise" let out Kyo in a reasuring tone. smiling as Crowy came closer.
"Happy birthday my love"
