She was just a princess whose life was dedicated to adventure and action. It was her dream to fight a dragon or be the one who saves the princess instead of being the damsel in distress. The princess’s name was Emily Wolf. A nineteen year old brown thin and scrawny wolf with an average height build and sharp teeth and claws. She was wearing a pink small dress that she was forced to wear because of her loyalty to the family. That was the problem with her life, it was boring and dull. Her parents would make her act all loyal and like an actual princess instead of being the hero in the story. All she ever wanted to do something fun and dangerous. But of course, her parents wouldn’t let her do all of that stuff. Told her that she was too weak and light weight to act like a savior. They also said it wasn’t part of her life and she should leave her dreams behind and start thinking about the future as a queen.
One day, Emily decided that she had enough and went out on her own, ready to start her first adventure alone and built with confidence. Wearing a brown cloak as a disguise at night, she sneaks her way out of the huge castle filled with guards that were on the lookout for any trespassers. After escaping that wretched castle, she runs all the way to a shop and house connected together in the village, home to a white magical owl who knows spells and curses. Emily opens the door and closes it behind her. “Who is entering my home?” The owl asks, behind the counter with his round glasses and fluffy feathers.
Emily reveals herself to the owl with a desperate look on her face. “It’s me Douglas. Emily Wolf, the princess.” She says to him. “I need your help.”
Douglas shows an amazing smile for her. “And what would that be, Princess Wolf?” He exits the counter and walks up to her. “And explain the secrecy you are doing.” He helps her take off the cloak as she wears the same pink thin dress.
“I want to go on an adventure, but my parents will never let me. They said that I was too weak and thin to even leave the castle.” She huffs while crossing her arms. “I just need your help.”
“An adventure you say? Hmm.” He starts to think about it. “What kind are you looking for?”
“A dragon. I want to slay a dragon.” The words came right out of her mouth, not regretting it one bit.
“A dragon? You really want an adventure. Well, I don’t usually support people on these occasions, but since you’re a very nice woman….stay here will you?” He walks to the back door, opening it and shutting it behind. Emily can hear some sort of ruckling back there as if he was moving something around. “It’s here somewhere, I know it.” He calls out to her from the other side. Her foot taps on the wooden floor of the building, making a tapping noise. A few seconds later, he comes out of the room and holds out a nice bright pink ball gown with sparkles, thick sleeves, and a very round crinoline. “Here it is.”
“A ball gown?” She thought that he was probably joking with her and maybe is telling her that she shouldn’t be an adventurer. “I know I’m a princess, but I was thinking of a sword, a nice suit of armor, or even a crossbow.”
“Oh, this is a lot better than all of those things. You see...this is a magical ball gown.” Now this was getting her attention whenever the word magical was in a sentence. “Put it on.” Douglas hands her the dress. “Change in the backroom if you can.” He points with his wing at another door. She looks at him, nods, and proceeds to head there.
It didn’t take long to put the dress on and she managed to squeeze her way out of the door. At first, it felt a little big on her. “I’m not sure if this fits m-” In a sudden rush, the suit starts to shrink itself to fit around Emily. “Whoa!” She said in an unexpected turn of events. “You weren’t joking when you said it was magical.”
“That’s the surprise. Now this ball gown can protect you from any danger you come into contact with.” The owl explains, going back to the counter. “Now you must go, the guards should be looking for you by now.”
“But how does it work?” She asks, still not knowing the tricks it has.
“Oh you’ll know, just believe in it.” He said once more before getting her out of his place. Her dress was way too wide for her to run so she quickly walked out of the village and onto the path in the woods. She stops midway to look at herself with the ball gown. Emily thought that she was very pretty except for one thing that bothered her, she was flat chested.
“Dear lord, if this dress had the magical powers to help make me look like an actual woman.” And something magical happened. Two round shapes on her chest began to inflate as if she had breasts. But it wasn’t coming from her body, it was the dress. “Well, I guess that works too.” She pokes them with her finger and sinks in. It felt like air as if they were just balloons. “Now, on to my adventure.” And so she continues her walk on the rocky path in the woods as it gets darker and darker. Luckily, her ball gown glows up in the night to help her see clearly.
______________________________________________________________________________
It was a clean and chilly morning. A soft feeling for the wolf princess as she continues her adventure through the forest with her new magical ball gown. Surely enough, she should be concerned if any guards from the castle would look for her by now. It was rare for them to not by any chance. “I’m really hungry.” She says, her stomach growling for food. She was lucky enough to bring some crackers during the trip which she ate some, although it wasn’t enough to fill her. Survival is a tricky situation when it comes to completing her goals and dreams. Sometimes it’s a giant rock in the path that isn’t easy to go around.
Later, she finds this giant river, the size of a courtyard in the castle and long enough to reach the whole entire land. On the other side were some apple trees that have some nice ripe apples that she could eat. “Mmmm. I have to cross this river.” And so she sets to that plan as she looks down in that water. It didn’t seem to be a problem for her if she just walked across, a bit harder than having a bridge around. She sets her foot in the water, shivering from the coldness in it. Emily puts her other foot in and begins to walk across, lifting up the front of her crinoline. She gets her legs soaked as she gets deeper and deeper in the water. At that point, she wasn’t expecting to be a deep river. But all of the sudden, she tripped on something under the water and was about to fall face first into the water. But it never happened.
In surprise, she looked around to see what was causing her to not splash in the water. Her front crinoline was floating above the water like it was some sort of boat, drifting with the current. The dress makes her wobble back and forth before getting a hold of her balance. “Huh, I guess these words?” She really didn’t understand and didn’t care why this was happening besides that the ball gown was magical and very helpful. She needed to get to the other side quickly before the current made her lose the apple trees. She uses her arms to swim forward to the other side with the ball gown acting like some sort of sail when the wind pushes her.
At the other side, she gets out of the water and shakes her whole body like the wolf she is. “Whew, that was pretty cool.” On the left of her where the apple trees she’s been desired to pick at. She reaches her hand at the closest and the freshest green apple she could reach and pulls it down from the branch. Without any waiting, Emily takes a bite out of it. It was juicy and sour like she expected it to be. “Mmmm, so good.” Satisfied with the taste she finishes the apples and plucks a few more for the trip. Hopefully they won’t rot as she makes her way to the next destination.
______________________________________________________________________________
An hour later, Emily the brave wolf princess finds a very tall cliff. She couldn’t go around it either as it stretches the horizon just like the river she had crossed. The apples she had picked were all gone because of her hunger. Now thinking this through, Emily starts to brainstorm on what exactly is the plan on this problem. That cliff is a bigger problem than the river she swam through.
Thinking it more, she gives a try to climb up the cliff. Maybe the ball gown could help her with this issue in any way it has. That was until she slid right off of it when she couldn’t have a good grip on it. “Ok, that plan is out the window.” She said, moving on to the next plan. “What else is a better way to get up there?” Again, she thinks before looking at her air filled fake breasts. They were like balloons. “Hmmmm.” Emily focuses on that before realizing what the new plan was. “That’s it!” She shouts before looking at her thin sleeves. “Time to have a nice balloon ride.” And so the wolf uses all of her energy to blow into the sleeves, inflating them into giant balloons that can carry her upwards.
As they got bigger, her feet lifted up from the ground. The plan was working and she’ll be on the top in no time. “This is so cool.” She couldn’t move her arms as they were stuck stiff from the air inside of the sleeves. To her, it feels really fun to be an actual balloon and float upwards into the sky, something that no one in the castle could do. She could be a legend at this point.
It only took her five minutes before seeing the top of the cliff. It was the same path she was trying to follow. But before she could reach, the air in her sleeves still lifted her up more along with the wind blowing her away. “This is not good.” Emily needed to be quick about this. So she slowly lets out some air, before the wind could blow her anymore. It was all going according to plan except that she was almost way off of the distance between her deflation and the cliff. She was hanging at the edge of the cliff as her sleeves deflated all the way. “No! Not like this!” She starts to panic, trying to lift herself up.
Emily grunts and uses all of her strength to pull herself up. After making it to the top, she takes her time to catch her breath and calm down. It was definitely scary for her to go through that, but moving on will be the best choice life has to offer. And so Emily does, now thinking about the risks she’s taking just for her dreams to come true.
______________________________________________________________________________
It was very dark in the woods again, her ball gown lighting up the night like a lit candle. Her feet were getting tired and sore from all of the walking she had gone through. But she needed to continue, not to get lost and attacked in the woods by any dangerous creatures that are out here at night. Scary as it sounds, Emily yawns and rubs her eyes. “Not now.” She groans and complains, dragging her feet on the ground. “I need to move.” The ball gown differs from this point of view. Emily stretches her arms as she stops in an open space that is grassy with trees surrounding that open field. The path was just on her right in the open too so she knows where it’s at.
Without any more arguments in her conscience or refusing, she begins to lay down in the grass. The ball gown was starting to transform into something much more soft and comfy for her to sleep on. It thickens itself like an actual mattress. She could feel the crinoline warming up for her as she found this large pocket on the inside of her dress she could put her feet in. The sleeves of her started to act more like a blanket and covered her entire arms and hands. The collar of her dress thickens like a padding for her neck and a pillow for her head. It was really amazing what this ball gown is capable of. If only she was allowed to keep it, Emily would have never needed to ask for help again.
As she tries to fall asleep, the wolf starts to think if she’ll ever have this kind of adventure again or just be stuck in the castle for the rest of her life. But she also thinks if she is able to slay a dragon that can breathe fire and crush her under their feet. With her ball gown, maybe that’ll change. Could the dress transform her into a dragon too and go reptile and reptile on it? Or a sword that appears out of nowhere and stabs it in the heart like the story of the knight versus the dragon? Who knows? Emily is the only one who can find that out as she drifts asleep by her thoughts that keep going on and on.
______________________________________________________________________________
On the second day of her adventure, she travels up a snowy mountain that was cold and very windy. Emily could feel the strong breeze in her fur, making the poor wolf shiver. “B-bad t-time to-to wear a-a b-ball gown.” She stutters with her teeth shaking rapidly. The wolf wasn’t really in the mood to be frozen on a mountain, not when she was on her way to defeat a dragon. As she climbs up more, she could feel something strange happening in her inside the suit. It was like thick fur crawling all over the place. Emily thought that it was bugs coming into her dress, making her squirm around and trying to get them off. But that wasn’t the case, it was extra fur coming from inside the dress, giving her the warmth she needs to continue climbing the snowy mountain. She saw the fur coming out of her collar which surprised her at first until Emily felt how warm and soft it had now become. “Ahh, that’s a lot better.” She said, relieved with her new furry dress.
Now that was dealt with, she was on the top of the mountain. It was windy and cloudy, but yet she could see the land below her. “This view is beautiful.” Emily says, looking at the horizon. No matter how high or low she is in the world, she was never afraid in the first place. Looking down, it was a steep slide that looked really fun for her. So without a second thought, she runs forward and slides down on her butt. “Yeah! Ha!” She screams in joyfulness as she goes down really fast. Something in her heart was as light as the sun and much more clean as the floors in the castle. Even with bravery, this princess knows what fun really is. Being a risk taker and letting your dreams come true. Down on the hill, she starts to slow down on the grass that starts to appear like spring around the corner. Emily gets up and dusts her dress off with the snow before moving on to her next destination.
It was just a few miles away from the snowy mountain Emily had slid down. The beautiful forest with singing birds, a downward stream, the bright sun shining down on to clean wet grass and leaves moving in the wind as it felt soft on her body. She could see more mountains on both sides, very tall and greeny. The fur from her ball gown disappeared with it’s magical powers. She sinks her hand into the water, feeling how cold it was like someone putting ice in it. “Just like years ago.” She sighs peacefully before following the trail.
As she walked more, the ballgown was much warmer than before. Maybe it was just adjusting to the weather just like from the snowy mountain when Emily was cold. It still has that breeze, but it’s just perfect. A few steps later, she comes across this large boulder that was wide enough to take up all the space to not let her move around. “Why can’t things be easy?” She said with a quiet sigh. Emily starts to think on how she could get past this boulder in a quick and easy way. Emily puts her paw on the boulder and feels the solid rough surface that spreads it’s rock particles on her pads. In an attempt to try things out, she squats down and tries her best to lift the rock up. She knew it was heavy but maybe her magical ball gown can help out.
Emily grunts and huffs, with no success lifting the boulder. What she didn’t know was that her sleeves were starting to swell up with pads that looked like muscles. Slowly, the boulder starts to lift up without her noticing. It rumbles with dirt from the bottom fall off of the boulder. “Wow, I’m actually doing it.” She says, impressed with herself as she throws the boulder on the side. “I have some good strength right there.” Emily says, flexing her puffed up sleeve to make it look like she actually had muscles underneath. Moving on, she continues her walk down the open path and watches as the fishes in the stream start hopping out of the water and going back in.
It was a wonder how her legs and feet weren’t tired yet from all of the walking. On the other hand, she thought it was the ball gown doing it’s magical thing and helping her motivate and energized to keep going. She’ll never stop until she defeats that dragon, has the glory, and convinces her parents that she’s brave to go out and explore all the dangers in the world.
During her trip, Emily decided to hum a nice song her mother sang to her when she was just a small pup. It was a nice catchy song that she could sing forever whenever she wanted to. It was relaxing and enjoyable to walk the outdoors and smell the fresh air unlike her time at the castle. Emily felt like a prisoner there, never allowed to go outside or to play with other people. Maybe it was time for a new change, a new life, and a new place to live. What if this wasn’t about following her dreams, but more like escaping the past and moving on to the future. That’s what her parents wanted her to do, but in a different way. Emily really needs to find some hobbies to enjoy besides thinking of her past life.
It was right there, the big scary cave with the sign that says: [Beware, Dragon inside]. This is it for Emily as she takes deep breaths, her hands shaking with both excitement and nervousness. She started to have these second thoughts with her if a small wolf like her is going to actually defeat a dragon, the size of five houses connected together. Now she wonders if it was the right choice to be here in the first place, to leave everything and everyone behind for this moment. She went all of this way, traveled the rivers, snowy mountains, lifted a huge boulder, and almost died for this moment. So no way was she going to back out of this. Emily, the princess wolf, walks into the dark cave, her ball gown glowing up before being swallowed into the darkness with no idea what surprises head inside.
