You might wanna look into sticking a few hundred bucks into them now and again. Their dividends will reward their shareholders very handsomely, as they grow very stably. It's pretty awesome.

haha.. I can't even afford to buy Pepsi right now....
but as soon as my plans start working and I get running again I will definatly look into that.. was thinking about investing as some kind of retirement plan... because even if I only put in a couple thousand..at my age... by the time I was ready to retire... if invested properly.. it would be almost enough

Let it be said that a couple dozen grand invested in dividend growth stocks (such as pepsi, coca cola, Proctor and Gamble) can grow to millions 20 to 30 years down the road.
Instead ask yourself "how can I afford it?"
