Sketch of my own alias, Arktic, dressed as a miniature from my other major hobby.
I wanted to draw Ark in a cool armor suit again, but could not for the life of me come up with what to do for the background that wasn't going to take several hours to accomplish. So I opted for a true to life silly picture of Ark standing in as one of my warhammer 40K pieces on the tabletop. Fire warriors are by far one of my favorite infantry in the game, the armor is practical, has high tech looking segmented plates, without tons of pointless frills and gilding to make it overly complex to paint. Truth be told I'm a Greater Good disciple for life, between the lore, the playstyle and the looks I just outright love playing and seeing my Tau Empire models out there on the tabletop. Yes I know, even the Tau have their darker side with the supposed Ethereal mind control or whatever, but all things considered they're one of the few factions to at least give you the option of not dying. "Would you like to be part of the Greater Good and work together for the good of all, including yourselves, who follow our teachings? If not our mass production combat mecha and space lasers star fighters are about 5minutes out. No pressure."
This picture also captures my eternal struggle playing at my local shop. The Sno'Paw sept are not stupid, they believe in practical tactical camouflage, so they paint their armor white and are primarily deployed to fight in arctic, ice and regolith style worlds. Their white camo giving them a small added edge to staying concealed so they can ambush their foes with superior positioning and firepower. However all the tables at the store I go to have green felt tables with primarily summer terrain. So my poor snow camo boys are standing out like very odd little sore thumbs, but in all respect its not like being painted the wrong camo has any effect on the game, just my inner artist being annoyed.
So have some cool miniature Arktic!

I actually have models that using some "green stuff" have fashioned little fox ears, muzzles, spikey hair and tails on a couple models. I should do a team of riflemen the same as well so I can paint one of them up as Ark. Though Ark really ought be a lead unit, not a basic foot soldier like he is shown here.
9th edition definitely has some problems right now with how its being balanced, but it hasn't gotten bad enough or not fun enough yet for me to just outright stop playing it.
