After some rewatching the first trilogy of "Pirates of the Caribbean", and being finally able to play Twisted Wonderland, I got struck by a sudden inspiration for this character, being the counterpart of both Tia Dalma/Calypso and Davy Jones from this Disney saga. Personality: "Love, such a dreadful curse: so easy to break, and so painful to bear", this phrase can summarize Cael's perception about bonds: after he suffered a really hard love delusion, the boy from the Swamplands begun to hate the feeling of love, only seeing that as curse that every person is destined to suffer by creating bonds with others; seeing demonstration of love between other people, most on St. Valentine's Day, the day in which his love delusion took place, disgusts and enrages him, seeing in other people what he lost and what made him suffer so much. As he now wants to avoid the creation of bonds with other people, to not feel again the pain he suffered in the past, Caelyum created a mask that he always wears while being with others: by a theatrical and creepy way of acting, combined with the way he talks, sometimes by riddles and with a tone made up to make feel his interlocutors in discomfort, the boy from the Swamplands is more than capable to look like someone always ready to backstab ya, or even with perpetual evil toughts in mind, basically someone to keep distance with... exactly who he wants to look like. The only person who saw trough this facade, is Sam, the owner of "Mr. S's Mystery Shop": the voodoo magician, being quite skilled in reading people, thanks to his "secret companion" too, befriended Cael, offering him help in dealing with his pain, in exchange for help in the shop; useless to say that Cael accepted, and, as Sam teaches to the boy some voodoo rites to relieve his spirit from his moral burdens, as well as being his one and only friend in the campus, the boy from the Swamplands repays him by working in the shop as his assistant, mostly taking his place in the shop's stand during events like the inter-dorm Magift tournament or the Joint Cultural Festival. If someone gets closer to Cael like Sam, his behaviour will become more gentle, even if keeping his cryptic way of talk and a bit of his creepy attitude.
Caelyum feels great discomfort while being near to the Octavinelle Dorm, and in particular when the dorm head, Azul Ashengrotto, and his "minions", Jade and Floyd Leech, are near to him, for their being Merfolk: as the one who in the past broke his heart was a mermaid, he now feels uneasy while being with Merfolks, or in general near the sea too, as is it that separated him from his loved one, leading her into betraying Cael's love.

Unique Magic Name: "A Touch of Destiny"
Unique Magic Effect: Caelyum's Unique Magic lets him summon the White Crabs who inhabit the inside of Davy Jones' Locker: a sort of Purgatory where the souls of who died, claimed by the sea, travel to the afterlife... quite ironic seeing the avversion Cael feels towards the sea itself. The boy from the Swamplands can summon any number of this otherwordly crabs, crabs that he can control one by one, seeing by their eyes, hearing by their ears, and being able to move each of them as he please, like if they're an extension of himself; more than that, he's physically linked to them: if one of those gets injured, Cael will feel the same pain, and, after he recalls the crabs, the wounds they suffered will appear on his body. Cael can dispel their summon whenever he wants, and, as he does so, they turn into the white sand of the inside of the Locker, which will then return to Caelyum's body; he can even, if he wants, divide himself in a moltitude of these otherwordly creatures, being then able to ricompose back his body from the sand who forms the crabs. The practice of turning himself into the crabs, obviously, need a lot more magic power than just summoning them, making so Cael using that in really few occasions, not that just summoning the ones from the Locker needs less magic: the more the crabs remain outside of Cael's body, more the blot will accumulate, making so him quite cautious in using his Unique Magic to prevent Overblot.
Each time Cael keeps "A Touch of Destiny" active, a black tribal tattoo representing a cancer will appear on his back, making so easy to understand if he's using it or not, just by showing a bit his back.

Trivia: The name and surname of Caelyum, come from a mix of the name of Calypso and a quote of Jack Sparrow about Tia Dalma: "You add an agreeable sense of the macabre to any delerium".
