Is the car shown the LAST one ever or an example of one from that year?

According to the decal on the window and some paperwork on the dash, this IS the last one built.

Wow, that is pretty epic. I would believe the papers over the decal anyways. Wonder how special the owner must feel knowing he or she has THE last one!

Last Corvair was a gold painted Monza coupe if you didn't know. It is still missing, but people wasted their lives trying to find it.

This is the last convertible made. Did not know the the last Corvair, period, was a gold painted Monza Coupe.

Ok, just making sure. What I know of this car, its painted Olympic Gold metallic (only Corvair to be painted in this color), was a Monza 2dr htp, put together completely by hand, and its chassis number was 6000. Chassis number 5999 had distributor problem and never started, don;t know if this car still runs the roads though. The last Corvair is now the most mysterious car in USA, it literally vanished into thin air. Some say it was destroyed, some say it was put in some time capsule vault not to be opened,some thought it was bought by a GM manager and secretly kept it. There are no VIN records on the last Corvair, but if found. Priceless beyond compare.
