He's been thinking about it for months leading up to this. This is just the first time it has been offered. Also they had all day hiking since he was asked so this isn't a super spur of the moment thing.

True enough, but it's still possible to have second thoughts at the last possible moment if the nerves get to you -- the fact that he'd spent so much time thinking about it shows how delicate the balance of pros and cons is.

I got this, yet... I liked the commission. And the idea that some things can go wild. But it is your story and I enjoy it as it is! So great work!

Also, and that is a big thing that has been acomplished by this story, is that it is all believable. It works and makes sense. And even if I like the Tg idea as well as to see what would happen then it would be not the right thing.
And I may be hoping for an happy end

My guess is that this was something he's been mulling over for the several months he's known her. Would it be perhaps her profession of love for him that made him decide to take the plunge then?

I can just imagine her now holding him in her arms while he endures his first transformation.

I really like that last panel where her back is to the viewer and the fur is starting to grow down her back while she is facing the sunset.

I would have begged her for a bite 34 pages ago.

Now he reached the point of no return and looks like next page will be when the fun will start.

The moment we've all been waiting for. But it was nice that he was given time to weigh the options. Now her dreams will be reality.
