My Trip to Artillery Park. 130mm Towed Field Gun M-46
The M-46 is a Soviet made 130mm Gun that was developed between 1946 and 1950. Used by a variety of nations with multiple copies made by said nations the Soviet Union got rod of the weapon relatively quickly as the 122mm D-74 was seen as a much better weapon. A downfall of the weapon was poor fragmentation from its HE shell which is a vital importance in counter-battery fire missions. An interesting variant of the weapon however is the S-70 which was the main weapon of the IS-7 Heavy Tank.
