Even though Freezie has no problem to regenerate herself, her heart is the one source of her existence, and like any other living being it CAN give out if anything is done to it in the most brutal fantasy possible. And given that fire and ice is like dogs and chocolate, if fire is sent to Freezie's insides, specifically the heart, they stop functioning and begin to melt, along with the rest of her body.
