I've been seeing a lot of fursuits lately with faces like those on the left: flat noses with top lips that shoot forward and out. Don't tell me that this is a "style", it's just an error, a mistake. I'm not trying to be rude, quite the opposite, I'm trying to help. ^^ I'm not claiming to be the king of the fursuit-heads, in fact I've only made one and it turned out pretty sub-par. But this tidbit is something that anyone should be able to understand.

No, it's just a mistake, either not caring, or not doing research to see what a profile view should kinda look like xD and I agree with teahound, i've seen some folks make one okayish head, then go "Imma do em for commissions, i'll do your head for 800$ even though i've only made one myself :D". I've made 3 heads myself, and while i'm not great, I like to think they don't suck xD I still wouldn't take commissions for them though, good lord lol. I'll stick with tails and paws and junk i've made countless of xD
PS - You made your black suit, yeah? If so, it's far from sub par xD I love that suit x3

Myself, I think everyone should have some experience before they start selling their suits at full price. Even if your first few heads are great, your quality can only grow with practice. You should have knowledge under your belt before you start charging the big bucks no matter what, I believe. :3 That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it!
The bad thing about heads is that they are expensive to make. Practices can be few and far between because you can't always afford the materials. 8C
I would feel confident selling stuffed tails now, and maybe foam-core tails later after I have a bit more experience. But tails are different, IMO, because they aren't as expensive, so you can sell them off a little earlier. Unlike an actual "fursuit" you aren't taking hundreds of dollars from someone. You should still be sure you're giving away quality though.
