Commission for a friend of my dad's, who's gotten into WWI U.S. Navy reenacting. (And he gets a LOT of teasing about that, being a retired Marine.) He wanted some custom artwork on his canvas bag-of-holding. Specifically, he wanted the "American Watch-Dog" white bull terrier from a WWI Navy poster.
I haven't done any 'real' painting in years, so it was fun change from butt-magnets. Took about....eight hours? Including research for colors since the printout dad's buddy brought me was grayscale. Not my best work, and not the best photo, but I am a bit out of practice when it comes to realism. Good enough to satisfy the client.
Acrylic on Canvas, aprox. 10" x 8"

I still love this image all the same. ^.^
