Watched the 89 series in Japanese, even though I dont speak it, and I didnt understand the endng. Did Kimba die, or just suffer a bit and recover? What happened to the jungle? The only English remake of this ended about 13 episodes in, with Kimba going mad from hearing voices.
For what i understood asking (and re-watching with attention) he didn't die.. he's just wounded as (if i remember well) the bird..
The company that wanted to destroy the jungle is defeated and there is an happy ending with a Kimba's speaking..
I would like to re-watch it -.- sadly it disappeared from Youtube
I've seen that the american version cut also very little and short scenes of "supposed" violence..
