There are for sure some things I am crazy glad you put through as details. The sinew and muscles are one thing. But the use of vein?/tripe?/organ envelope? like textures in the wing/cape? flesh bit and the seat are just awe-striking.
And the fact that it looks so much like a statue but you look closely and see like subsurface lighting on the skin is eerie as heck and really sells the alien nature.
