I suck at titles. I was going to call this something dealing with the rattlesnake, but decided not to because it's around 5 a.m. and I can't think of squat. Haha.
Anywho, this is Sune-Ku. (Had I just rhymed? Of course! Forgive me for my randomness.) A long, long, LONG time ago, about the time when I first joined FurAffinity, I had put this picture up: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1653488/ (Oh...Only about a year ago..So not extremely long ago.)
I have to say that it has been wonderful seeing such a drastic change in my style during a course of a year. All four were very cartoon-like and they didn't seem to have much depth to them at all.
But now with my teachings in human head sketching, (I will soon be taught poses and clothes next.) I finally can get at least some of my characters to look a bit more human than they first appeared. (doing the anime style and drawing off of numerous shows was getting really old.) And I finally got a good reference on a snake. And some use out of my rattlesnake head. But, what did I get when I did all those time consuming scales? Nothing. The shading destroyed them. You only see my hard work in the face, the rest just crashed behind him. (I'm still learning on how to do a proper snake) *collapse*
Anyway, I'm rambling.
About Sune-Ku, I actually forget what his complete biography was. All I remember and read on the old one was that he was a Zatch Bell based character and I based him off of a myth of a large stomach, sword carrying, drunk snake. And that he has a very noble nature, (along with all my other characters) he looked down on people, mostly calling them insects or vermin, and he was feared out of respect. And, as cheesy as this sounds, the mask he wears hides his fangs. The tattoo on his arm means 'Snake' in Kanji.
Well, I think that's all. If you're still with me then Congratulations! You get a cookie. See, it pays reading the artist comments.:) And you can probably guess that since I did Sune-Ku next I will do Mushy as well. Sketched out his head and he looks adorable. (lonely little orphan boy adorable)
~Enjoy~
