I never think revenge is the best awnser but after all the things Marellis put Star through, I FULLY encourage her to take that revenge. He deserves it. I can't imagine how traumatizing all of this would be in real life.. The drugging aspect was a bit controversial but if Tessa thought it would be the best option, it probaply was.

'Aunty f'd up' - Understatement of the decade.
No one seems to understand just how badly Tessa has stepped in it. Irl she would have effectively ended the freedom of everyone in that house that fails to report what is happening.
Matt is one word and a blood test away from a very thorough RMP investigation that would see all five pulled up in front of a military court. The civilians would also be on the hook as well, since they are accessories and cohabit with the perpetrator, no public criminal investigation required. Think he's worried about a bit of personal embarrassment when this will be dealt with by court martial, off the public record? The army wouldn't allow something this damaging to their image to go public, so it will be taken care of in-house.
Assuming an investigation does not turn up any other serious misconduct on his part, Matt would likely be facing disciplinary, probably demotion and transfer with no formal reprimand, since that would be a matter of record. He'll end up at a different base and carry on with his career. Meanwhile, as I stated in my last comment, Tessa and Star look at a minimum 25-year sentence for kidnapping, assault, and blackmail, all of which have been committed against a superior officer.
The best thing Star could do now is to call base and hope it saves her from a lengthy prison sentence, though it would mean that the others are still screwed.
Better still, Tessa could make the call and claim she had the others partake under duress. That might mean that only Tessa is on the hook for this.
Here's the worst part though; Say Matt didn't take this course of action.
Say that he keeps quiet and completely agrees to the gang's terms, to leave star and her off base life alone. Do you know what that means? It means that there is something he's doing or done that is far worse than what he's done to Star that would turn up in an investigation.
They may succeed in getting Star's personal life out of the crosshairs, but what then? Now they know Matt has far bigger secrets that he's willing to let go of his 'side project' in order to protect.
The recording doesn't go away just because he promises not to use it either, it just means that the dagger is now hidden. Any attempt they make to dig up the dirt or bring his bigger crimes to light will come at the sacrifice of their friend, whom they have all shown they are willing to go to great lengths to protect, there by revealing their weakness.
Either way, Tessa's actions have ensured that Matt comes out on top.
But then again, maybe I'm over-analyzing this whole situation. Maybe Matt thought he was being kind in some twisted way. Knowing that Star's secret was likely to get out, he tried to put her into a situation where she cannot be afraid of this secret anymore, hiding the whole thing in plain sight. Perhaps recording the meetups was done at the host's behest? Just in case there are any accusations later on that need evidence to straighten out? Maybe he just didn't realize the damage he was doing when he thought to use the leverage for a while in order to genuinely make Star more diligent in her job. Surely she can see he was just trying to use her kink as a crop, to make her aware of how she should be acting by tying that behavior to something she found genuinely pleasurable. Plus he honestly thought she was into the sub thing, what with the baby play and spanking at the party. Oh how wrong he was, swooning melodramatically.
Thus he'll come to a magical epiphany brought on by the situation he now finds himself in, that 'even if you have good intentions, using secrets against others is wrong'. Everyone goes on with their happily padded lives, safe in the knowledge that a lesson was learned.
Roll credits with the catchy theme music.
Except, I don't think this is that genre of graphic novel.
Apart from the species of the characters and some instances of deliberate hammer-space logic, the whole thing has been relatable and the story remarkably grounded. It is the core reason why, in my opinion, this creation has been so successful in the first place; its emotional honesty. Excellent art work goes a long way in such a creation, but without the story, it would be forgettable. This is why I simply cannot see a good outcome from any of these current events.

I'm not sure I'd normally condone this situation in reality, but because this is fiction I can gleefully say: "I am so looking forward to what comes next."
And, to me, that's the important part to remember here: This is fiction. We can all indulge a little in our vices and in taboo. So why not indulge in a bit of Revenge Fantasy?
