Yeah, I know the original is called Electric de Chocobo, but it's goddamn surf rock. Electric could mean electric guitars and organs, or it could mean electric synthesizers and drum machines. Surf means surf.
Pretty much a straight cover/enhancement, aside from the intro.
Thought about doing my own rendition, but I've noticed a trend. Uematsu can make the chocobo theme good, pretty much everyone else can ruin it. I haven't heard any good fan-remixes, and even the official ones for FF12 and 13 don't come close to Uematsu's renditions. The only good rendition I've heard that wasn't solely Uematsu was Swing de Chocobo, which was originally played for the More Friends concert, and then subsequently for the Voices and Distant Worlds concerts, but even then it's still heavily influenced by Uematsu's own Brass de Chocobo from FF10.
