Most of the fan art I’ve seen is people trying to “fix” her design- I haven’t seen any that have just been her as she is XD

She honestly is almost like suicune as a dragon I mean look at these plushies https://www.instagram.com/p/CKbktff.....d=ij7yam9iiujz ..so yeah not sure why the hate is so strong lol..its a 'simple' and 'cute' design that is somehow graceful and that is way more easy to make plushies of ect then really over detailed stuff, plus cute and simple with a 'pretty' ness to it will sell better with a mostly 'Disney Princess' audience lol.

I have to imagine that a simpler design was easier to animate too - her concept art is beautiful, but probably was just too much to animate

Well its not that Disney doesn't have the budget to animate detailed things but maybe they just didn't see a benefit to overly detailing a character that is supposed to more human/relatable and overall not too 'beastly' like say a 'scary' western dragon, shes more akin to Magnadramon.
