Lake Nacimiento, CA is widely regarded as the best recreational lake in San Luis Obispo county (even though it's technically Monterey). There are many coves and beaches, perfect for setting up a day camp and enjoying the sun. Shown here is a section near the back of the lake, about 1/4 mile from the river inlet. Unfortunately I didn't have my good camera, this was taken with a Moto Droid.
