Kudos to the completion of your cheetah. The costume looks good. Sorry about the belt, and hope you can find a belt that will not leave a lasting "impression". I have tried to use a belt-only system, but have always resorted to using suspenders. It is another idea.
"Dance of happiness"? Awesome! Hope you will continue to have fun with the mascot.
