More plushies! This time after the umbreon had been posted online for a while, I got commissioned to make a shiny mew. Again, my own pattern made from scratch. She sits about 20 inches tall, can sit up right with a little playing around and is made all out of minky and satin for the eyes!
I make all my plushies out of minky unless something else is required.
Since these photos were taken, I had actually added a mouth using some of the extra fabric around her face and made her smile before shipping off. Myuu is quite happy with her new mum!

Thank you for your post :3 I do wish you luck in making your own plush, it really is quite fun on top of frustrating XD
But I do want to address your comment about the copy right law. And thank you for asking/pointing it out. Yes, it is true, I do make plush of well known characters and I don't hide the fact. And it is wrong in most instances; but, I consider what I do as FanArt. If you have ever been to any type of anime convention, and you go to the Artist Allies and even the Dealers Dens, you will find 95% of the artwork being sold there is fan art. And it is well known and even encouraged to do this. The real difference from where it becomes a problem for a company is if someone remakes something and is able to mass produce it and try to resell it at competitive prices of the original company, or try to say "this is legit stuff from Nintendo," then that in it self is extremely wrong.
I myself can't mass produce pokemon, or any plush, fast enough, nore cheap enough to really do any harm. Kind of wish I could! But I can't, and my asking prices to make them is way more then the average person can give in to. But if I was asked to officially to cease and desist, I would, and with a heavy heart cause I really love making them. I do them more out of my own pleasure and sell them off cause I can't keep 151 plush the size of a medium sized dog XD
Also, so you know, I DO make custom plush for people! :D This last two rounds of commissions I have done or am committed to, out of 14 or so plush, only about 5 are actual pokemon plush. The only thing is I have yet to take the time to post up the photographs I took, and some might not even go up cause I shipped them before getting good ones taken :(
Also, I like the idea of doing some of my own little critter designs :3 But I'm not well known enough yet to really pull that off :(

I do foam based plushies, stuffed animals, and cloth dolls. I've seen some of your pokemon plushies and they're really good!!! However, I have to say with this mew (I know it's an older submission) but the stuffing in the neck seems lacking, a really good way to stiffen up a plushie is to use sheet foam, carve it into shape and place inside the plushie. Works very well for legs, stubby tails, non floppyears, and the neck. :D (Also, Do you hand sew or machine sew your work?) I hand sew, and can't hand sew minky worth a poo. Fleece is fabric of choice. :D
Thanks for the tip! Since I first did this plush future ones I make have a shorter neck, which works out well. Also I machine sew like 90% of all my work. Minky is a tad tricky to sew but I've gotten really use to it and I just love working with it. The only times I hand sew is when I have some really tight areas that the machine foot can't take care of or have to sew details, like most stripes and other accent things.
I see.. For me, I hate my sewing machine... it was my grandmothers and it tends to bunch up the thread sometimes, and it really kills the fabric to get it out, so I perfer handsewing. HOWEVER, I did use the machine when I made my Panda Hoodie, just so that it would stay together longer with better stitching.
