Oil Pastels! Sorry for the bad lighting.

I had to do an oil portrait for a class once, it was SO TIRING! It was of my mom sleeping, and she was in a similar position to this.

Oh man, oil painting suuuuucks, I absolutely hate it.

I like pastels because I can literally draw on the page. I've tried wax, chalk, and now oil, and I have to say that I gotta experiment more with each to get a feel for their properties. Two of my friends whom I went to community college with took a materials making class when I was away from CalArts, and now they know how to make their own paints, pastels, inks, and even paper!

I'm super jealous. It sounds like a potions class for art!
