My target was alone... a perfect moment for a perfect kill. The monster of a mutt never saw it coming-- never heard a sound from the dark corner of his bedroom. I sprung into action, seized the moment, blade held high in my right hand, perfect in my execution. The blade sank deep into my target's back. Left hand came up to quiet his agonized groan. There was barely a struggle. A few moments pass... Silence. My work there was done. I disappeared into the night, like the shadow that I am.
My name is Tacitus Bren, and I will be your killer this evening.

Ok so,
majorra is basically the coolest person in the world. You should totally go and watch her when she streams, because it's like an epic art party of awesome.

Wow, how come I didn't notice this one before. Finally, Tacitus Bren in artwork! Before seeing this, I had imagined Tacitus to be similar to Ildac only with black fur. But now that I see him this way, he looks great! True, he's more of a long eared fennec fox in this pic but this look is perfect for him, giving him a more unique and dynamic appearance. The assassin look really fits him as well as his expression of being focused and serious (his outfit is also classic cloak and dagger). Yeah, your narrative also befits him in his role. Guess I'm going to read Staying The Dagger again visualizing him in this image.
Yep, majorra is a fine artist(been seeing through her gallery) and found out that Nuri actually belongs to her. I now had the privilege of seeing actual pics of Nuri and Ildac. You two collaborated right? Well, you two made a really great set of stories involving such excellent characters.
Well, I guess my comment is more lengthy than I intended but there's something worthy of note: Tacitus Bren is a combination of 2 terms I'm familiar with, Tacitus was a Roman historian and Bren is the term for a World War 2 machine gun( I admit, I loved reading history books) but what the heck, used together the name still sounds medieval to me. Cheers to you and majorra .

X3 Well, really, I gave Majorra pretty free reign over how exactly Tacitus looked. All I said was "fox in a cloak". Really, part of reading is making your own image for the characters. :3
In terms of stories, Majorra and I collaborated in the sense of "I put our characters together in the story, and she gave me ideas/told me what she'd like to see Nuri do to her foxslave". X3 Used to be that we'd trade stories for art, but she's always bogged down by commissions these days, so now it's just me giving gift stories occasionally.
Well, I will say that the info you gave me on the names was surprising... I named him Tacitus because it meant something along the lines of "silent", but I had no idea that "Bren" was the name for a weapon. Kinda makes sense, though, eh? XD Thanks for that.
And thanks for the comment! :3
