This is based on a real life anecdote. I wasn't a big fan of the first Shrek but my family was. So I went with them to see the sequel just to be with the family and such.
But I never enjoyed the movie. The jokes were gross, too much "greatest hits of the first part" and the cat with boots was too overrated. But everybody were so happy and all so I just pretended that I liked it too to not being a party pooper. But when I get home my mom asks me "you didn' like it right?".... and after a long silence I said "No" v_v and she just smiled ^^
And yeah I know that this is too anachronic, specially because in 2004 I wasn't still a furry and Furaffinity didn't even existed and

I agree. The third one was horrible! I thought it was too much about "killing". It just wasn't funny. And I paid first run prices to see it. I'm almost afraid to go see the fourth one.
I've read one mention of it on this site, and they didn't like it. They did like the latest Toy Story.
I didn't like the second "Men In Black" movie. Tommy Lee Jones, sometimes seemed as if he was just there because it was a job.
Why do you think a movie sometimes gets worse and worse with each new sequal? Is it because the makers don't have to try as hard? Are their other reasons?

Normally many first parts are made with disbelief and uncertainity and they do their best and it can be seen. But then because they try to surpass the first part they tend to repeat the same old jokes or add more. The results are a bloated movie full of BS. There are exceptions (like The Dark Knight) but is very rare.
No wonder why filmmakers like Tim Burton and Spielberg like to avoid sequels as possible.

I haven't gone through that yet... then again, since I play and watch ALMOST ANYTHING (Saw? Intriguing. The rest? Too much red, sorry) maybe that's the reason. It's good to be nice and friendly with your pals, as long as you don't force yourself to stop BEING YOURSELF, right?
I totally forgot he did the "Batman" movies! I was thinking of how, in the "Indiana Jones" movie, they chant the mantra to Shiva, "Om Namah Shivaya" as their heart was being ripped out. To be honest, I don't remember what the Kali idol looked like. I wonder if you made a movie about a crazy Christian cult, and people were chanting "Jesus" as they were being killed, I wonder how people would react?
