I still hate the end of the Mayrin Arc and refuse to aknowledge it. So in ly own rewriting the story lasted during a longer span to the point Mayrin's and Kam'Lu's adventure was not finished yet when they finally came to each other's arms, and more. But basically the next day after that night, Kam'Lu would try to play the hero for the woman he loves and sail away to go sneak in to undo the villains' plot by himself now that what was at sake was the status of the woman he was sure to love. But he would get killed by SkekSa once he would see that the patron Skeksis of his people was behind all of that and attacked her. As painful as it was for her since she did love the Sifa (BECAUSE YES SHE DOES), she threw his body in the sea. Meanwhile Mayrin would wake up alone and finish the events of the story alone, still wondering where Kam'Lu was. He would not come back. Given how the last time she had seen him they had sex, she would be heartbroken and end up thinking that was all he wanted, "a Sifa always wants something in return", start resent them, go back to her senses as she would imagine, that all clans stay on their own side like before as she wouls coldly reign over them prioritizing the Vapra and having a gripe against the Sifa in particular, forever hurt and missing something. And worse, she would find she got pregnant from this. She would marry a Vapran noble in order to give legetimity to her future daughter so that nobody would suspect a thing about her origins and have Tavra and Brea with him, and even if she would love Seladon, she would still name her after her toxic mother and be harsher on her on a subconscious level because she still would have come from the worse mistake in her life : trusting the wrong person. If she knew... and yet despite this she would always have a little hope he would return whenever she would see the sea. Also let us just say she is either near the sea for a political trip/stay or this is her seaside holiday house, to explain her being so close to the sea in her nightgown
