Pretty snakes for sure but not something that has ever appealed to me for some reason.

I'm very fond of burrowers, especially the KSBs... for some reason most (non-Australian) pythons don't do much for me, even though most people love balls, etc.

Ever try getting a python out of australia? It just does not happen ever lol.
For burrowing snakes i like burrowing cobras. Always a lovely surprise when the head pops up next to your fingers

I already got one woma python, and hope to get her a boyfriend sometime this year. :) I know the dude who sells them I just want to clean up the snakeroom before getting any more snakes (the snakes are all clean and snug, but the place is too cluttered :P )
And some point I'm totally getting a pair of queensland blackheads. (that point when I have $$ :P )

You realise than any australian snakes you buy outside of australia are either smuggled or severly interbred considering the ban on exporting animals.

PS prehistoric pets has had Het. Albino Adult female carpet pythons stolen from them. Apparently it was not too long ago. A few months i think. I may have read the post wrong however.

Well this is certainly a captive bred girl, I saw the hatchling pics myself :P I don't buy wild-caught snakes.
As to how inbred they are... my main concern is health. She seems very healthy, and honestly founding populations do not need to be huge to make a viable genetic pool. The human population itself is believed to have gone through an extreme bottleneck sometime in the past, perhaps as few as only one pair!

Er, that wasn't supposed to be a christian thing XD I'd read an article a while back analyzing mitochondrial DNA and y chromosomal DNA that proposed it, but now wikipedia says it's been discounted. Oops!
Still, I haven't heard any problems of womas or black heads being too inbred. The main time I've heard of problems is in "blood red" cornsnakes (which were heavily line-bred for a while and as a result would have small, difficult clutches).
... I also suspect this pair of "okeetee sunkisseds" I have right now might have been excessively line-bred, too. But dang they're pretty.

I had a blood red corn he was Het. Anery and apparently both times he bred all the eggs were infertile

Bleh my creamstripe Ra seems to be infertile on top of prolapsing a hemipene, but I'm not sure what his problem is. Could be inbreeding too I suppose :P It's weird I got an adult breeder pair of creams het stripe from the same guy and some of their babies are missing their frontal scales! By which I mean the one big scale that goes between their eyes - instead they have a tiny bald patch :O

Cornsnakes are notorius for being excessivly fucked up though. Just being so popular and ideal snakes for beginners it's never really talked about but corns must be tho most intensivly bred snakes in the world

It's just the stupid mentally challenged teens who follow it as a fad who piss me off.

The ones i have most issue with are the fucked up little psychopaths who go about killing people and animals and saying they done it so satan would be pleased with their black metal bands.
They give satanists and black metal a bad name and we already have enough of a fucked up rep as it is.

Eh these so called satanists who look to the christain bible to form a viewpoint on satan are just well...weird and hypocritical to be honest.

I beleive satan is a deity far older than christianity, judaism and Islam and that the jews invented christianity in order to remove spiritual knowledge/power from humanity and place it in the hands of a few.

Basicly i say christianity is a reaction to the ancient religions which invaribly worshipped what we popularly call satan/lucifer today.

Paganism is different things to different people.
To some it's th worship of the old gods of their lands to others it's any form of non traditional religion.
Paganism is basicly a catch all term.
