Also from 2004. This was meant to be a cover for the first version of the comic (which isn't online at the moment - I should fix that).
Some changes have been made since then, such as how Rashanna (the black haired hound) looks and having Ruby no longer wear that hideous vest. Also, the vampire rabbit fellow at the top is gone from the series - his storyline was just too long and didn't forward the main plot.
Matt and I have been working on CN:H since 2001. It's gone through a number of edits and reworks over the years. :P

Could one day. I've got a few other spin off ideas in the works. We took the basic idea of the first part of the vampire storyline and turned it into another arc about a musician and Leanan Sídhe - http://www.maryjones.us/jce/leanansidhe.html
What about the difference between seleighe and unseleighe fey?

First introduced to me in this comic, not exactly sure about how their rules work.

They're the Summer and Winter Courts. The members of the Summer Court tend to look pretty (when most people think of faries, they're thinking of things in the Summer Court). The Winter Court members tend to look darker and more nightmarish. Truth is, neither Court is better or worse than the other. They both prey on mortals and use them for their amusement. Winter is just a bit more honest about it. They prefer to take. Summer likes to use trickery to get what they want.
I don't remember all the rules, but a few I do know are...
...don't accept gifts from the fey. This puts you in their debt and you'll never get out.
...try not to put a fey in your debt. They don't like it.
...if asked the same question three times, they must answer it.
...they can not outright lie to you, but they will twist the truth.
...cold iron hurts them.
They follow their rules (usually) but, like the comic said, they're very good at finding loopholes and exploiting them.

alright....wait a sec
I read the comic, I thought cold iron actually does not hurt them. Instead, it was mistranslated "cold" meaning "north" north star, not necessarily just iron, but lodestone, the magnets always pointing north.(Based on the comic link later on in that story, lol.)
Though I remember hearing all the other rules, lol.

Yeah, that's the thing... each version of the fey is a little different. I'm not sure why there's so much variety in the stories, probably because for the longest times these stories weren't written down, they were passed along orally and changed with each telling. It gets confusing very easily. :d
Matt and I went with the cold iron and the tithe versions of the stories because they're the ones we're most familiar with. My introduction to the fey was in a comic called The Books of Magic and its spin-off The Books of Faerie. I'm not sure what Matt's introduction was.

Mmm, there was a written story about the vampire, I believe? I do recall the plot line behind the whole thing (whether it was written or the comic eludes me at the point) and it was excellent - in fact, it gave me nightmares for few days!
Ahh, the long-gone days of (furry) innocence..
